About Me

On 2007, I flew to wonderful Australia.

I had an intense desire to surf in the Pacific Ocean.

Previously to the flight, a friend advised me on taking Yoga lessons, to build strength and suppleness in order to cope with the mighty ocean.

The following month I was taking my first Yoga lesson with Charlotte Dodson, she was remarkable and kind. I knew I'm in the right place.

Ever since then, I practice Yoga…and not only on the mat.

As time passed, I realized I was ready to pass on the wonders of Yoga to as many people as I can.

First thing I did as I got back to Israel on 2009, was registering to a Viniyoga instructors course, by T.K.V Desikachar.

Later on, I became a senior Yoga instructor in Wingate Institute, and then continued to a Yoga teaching.

My teachers were: Mrs. Rachel Zolberg, Leeora Kastenboim and Shachar Ben David.

Now I tutor the Viniyoga by Desikachar method to groups and individuals at all levels.

Additionally, I work with pregnant women and traumatized individuals (physically and/or mentally), kids and golden agers.

When practicing, I study the individual by observing his posture and mental stability, respiration and mental approach.  This way I make sure all individuals receive private attention, which befits their abilities.

Yoga gives me strength and balance, both in a mental and physical way. It induces serenity in me.

I want to use the opportunity and thank my great teachers who escorted, guided, enriched and would continue to do so in my ongoing path.

I invite everyone to experience and taste the beauty of Yoga.

Maayan

Yoga originates from India. The origin of the word comes from the Sanskrit (ancient Indian language) word Yuj.

The word Yoga has many meanings, one of them is unification.

Yoga unifies the mind and body.

He who practices Yoga attains the tools to process and manage his needs and abilities (the physical practice of Hatha Yoga and the mental practice of Raja Yoga).

Practicing Asanas (positions), Vinyasas (a series of positions) and Pranayama (breathing) on a regular basis promotes better health, strength and stable muscle tone.

Practicing helps the external and internal organs to function in their natural place, enhances will power, self confidence, promotes serenity, mental strength, breathing and balance.

There are many methods of Yoga, here are a few:

Viny Yoga\Vinyasa Yoga – This Yoga conforms to the mental and physical needs of the person practicing, according to his lifestyle.

Ashtanga Yoga – Dynamic practice of several constant series of Asanas.

Iyengar Yoga – A most precise practice of Asanas. This technique utilizes different accessories such as strap, cube, chair, etc…

Bikram Yoga – This practice takes place in a heated room. There are 26 constant series Asanas and 2 constant series of Pranayama
